His practice, honed through several senior in-house counsel roles in F&B, retail, and technology conglomerates, uniquely blends strong legal acumen with deep technical expertise in cross-border transactions, cross-industry compliance and complex restructuring. Corporate clients—ranging from multinational enterprises, global franchises to mining giants—rely on his ability to decode regulatory complexity into actionable business strategies that provide the most strategic value for the clients in a variety of industries such as mining, energy, manufacturing and industrial, FMCG, aviation, plantation, technology, real estate, financial services and e-commerce.
In the retail sector, Vega advised one of the largest F&B conglomerates in Indonesia on a landmark franchise agreement for a European F&B brand, enabling their rapid expansion into 50+ Indonesian locations through licensing and compliance with BPOM (Food and Drug Monitoring Agency) protocols, including managing adaptive dispute-resolution mechanisms tailored to regional consumer norms. Gardivega’s fluency in labor law and employment disputes positions him as a go-to advisor for a broad range of employment matters of foreign tech firms scaling in Southeast Asia. He also counseled a Singapore e-commerce unicorn on its hybrid workforce framework and procedure to comply with Indonesia’s Omnibus Law, including mitigating litigation risks during its regional rollout.
Among his noteworthy projects, Vega was involved as lead regulatory counsel for several strategic transactions and projects such as (i) the establishment of Aviation Ecosystem Support (AES) Subholding company with Injourney Aviation Services branding which is one of the largest State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the field of airport facilities; (ii) the transfer of plantation land rights with an area of approximately 857.52 Ha in Banyuwangi - East Java, and (iii) legal certification of an island located in the Thousand Islands Regency, Jakarta - Indonesia. He also advised one of the largest domestic advertising companies on its day-to-day legal-related operational activities.
