Sergio is an Associate in the firm's Banking, Finance and Fintech Practice Group, and focuses his practice on a diverse array of corporate actions, financing, and employment matters that spans regulatory compliance, advisory and transactional work. He is primarily involved in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, general corporate and commercial, including restructuring, mining and natural resources-related deals.
Sergio advises major companies on financing, commercial transactions and corporate actions involving legal and regulatory due diligence, licensing and compliance work across a broad range of industries, including nickel, forestry, property, infrastructure, ICT and port sectors. He is also well-versed in advising on a broad spectrum of legal aspects of manpower, encompassing employee termination, wages and entitlements, manpower outsourcing, and labor disputes.
His experience includes assisting several leading coal mining contracting services company in conducting Legal Due Diligence for the acquisition of mining and nickel ore processing facility companies in Sulawesi as well as for the acquisition of port companies in the same region. He also counseled a leading coal mining contracting services company on the preparation and negotiation of shares purchase agreements and novation agreements for port companies.
Sergio is known for being meticulous, thorough and effective in coming up with solutions and recommendations on multiple complex matters, on top of his patience and precision in explaining a difficult legal concept in a simple way to clients.
