Michelle is an Associate in the Banking, Finance and Fintech Practice Group. She is well-versed in counseling on various legal aspects of fintech lending and payment services, with particular focus on structuring, launching and operating digital lending, remittance and payment gateway services, as well as corporate governance, regulatory compliance and licensing in the financial services sector.
Michelle works closely with in-house and general counsels of leading emerging companies and foreign startups on a wide range of M&A transactions, foreign direct investment and market entry projects, strategic alliances, co-investments, fundraisings and joint ventures, including corporate transactions relating to fintech (digital lending and payment services), digital business and financial services.
Her secondaries practice covers contractual, corporate and compliance matters in the real estate, oil and gas including industrial sectors, consumer goods and manufacturing industries. She contributed to various legal due diligence of land, real estate and properties in relation to asset acquisition transactions by foreign institutional investors. She was also involved in the preparation, negotiations and drafting of real estate-related commercial agreements for land and purchase transactions in the energy and natural resources sectors.
